Writing "tech" in your name must be an inside joke... When you try to smack them, it feels like you've gone back in time 20 years. Your app keeps not working. Trying to contact them for something as simple as travel advice means sending a message (if you can get the app to work) and substituting a prefilled form, and then praying. Interest rates are predatory. Customer service is useless. I've been waiting for a replacement credit card for over 2 months and they keep telling me I need to call the fraud department while the other 2 institutions I bank with stayed with a replacement card for me the next day after losing my wallet have.

I was trying to open a merchant account for a company that does over 3 million transactions a year and they haven't responded to me for three months. When they finally did, they didn't apologize, try to earn my business or do anything to try and help - they just brushed it off with an "oh I think we lost".

I suspect a lot of their business comes from people like me - new tech immigrants whose information is passed to the bank when they migrate to the US and who don't know any better how to navigate the US banking system before they get a social security number, take it out. If this is you, start looking for a new bank as soon as you have your social security number.

I only give 1 star because there is no zero star option.

I called and spoke to representatives over the phone before applying for a credit card due to concerns about membership requirements. They told me that if I applied to be a member of the Computer History Museum, I could and would be eligible to participate.

After I filled out the form, their systems didn't work and I had no idea what the status of my application was. I had to call to find out what happened to the app and speak to someone from a call center who obviously doesn't work for this institution.

I then received multiple emails, one stating that my credit card application was approved and another that my application to UC was denied because: "We were unable to validate the information provided".

After more than 20 minutes on the phone and moving from one department to another, they could not explain why the application was not accepted. After I requested escalation to a manager, the second rep I spoke to said his manager was in a meeting and would call me back in an hour. This didn't happen.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a financial institution.
